Some car brands (including Mercedes) exclude the use of (brush) car washes for matte paint finishes in their leasing contracts. By hand washing with conventional car shampoo the "normal" road dirt is removed. For those who want to step up their game and take care of their paintwork that extra bit better, they supplement the wash with a foam cannon for a contactless wash.
