Flex polishers for professional car detailing
In professional car detailing, the goal is controlled correction, a clean finish and deep gloss without holograms. The FLEX polishing system is designed as a complete workflow: machine, backing plate, polishing media (pad or wool), polish and accessories.

Control electronics, protection features and smooth running
Many corded FLEX polishers use VR/VVC microprocessor electronics. A tachogenerator monitors spindle speed and supports constant speed control under load - helpful for consistent correction. Protection features include overload protection, temperature monitoring and restart protection. The throttle trigger supports controlled starts and reduces polish splatter.
On EC models, brushless EC technology removes carbon brushes as a wear part, supporting efficiency and lower heat in extended use. The air flow path is designed to avoid disturbing exhaust air in the user’s face.
Rotary polishers: maximum correction power
Rotary machines transfer power directly and can correct defects quickly, but require careful pad and polish selection, speed control and temperature awareness to avoid holograms.
- FLEX L1603VR : up to 1600 W power input, 1400-3900 rpm, approx. 2.0 kg and a spindle lock for quick backing plate changes.

Dual action: XFE free-spinning vs XCE forced rotation
Dual action polishers are a safe choice because the risk of holograms and paint damage is significantly reduced. In the FLEX system: XFE means free-spinning dual action (ideal for finishing), XCE means forced rotation dual action (more correction and one-step efficiency under pressure).
XFE: finishing and hologram removal
- XFE 7-12 80 : 12 mm orbit, up to 80 mm pads for tight areas; low heat build-up.
- XFE 7-15 150 : 15 mm orbit; often used for final finishing after rotary work.
- XFE 2 15 14-EC : brushless EC; more consistent orbit rate under load and up to 8700 opm no-load; SoftGrip and a rubberised resting surface.
XCE: one-step efficiency and controlled correction
- XCE 10-8 125 : 8 mm orbit, 1010 W power input; positioned for one-step work and controlled correction.
- XCE 2 8 14-EC C : brushless forced rotation with reduced heat build-up and improved smoothness.
Cordless: EMS, PXE 80 and the 18V platform
Cordless polishers reduce cable management and support mobile workflows. The Electronic Management System (EMS) monitors discharge current and cell temperature. Batteries and chargers: Flex chargers.
A 5.0 Ah battery can reach approx. 80% in 40-50 minutes; a full charge takes approx. 60-100 minutes. Higher capacity packs (for example 8.0 Ah) help keep high-demand machines running longer.
