COLOURLOCK Leather Fresh F034 Black 100 ml is a water-based colour refresher for plain, semi-matt smooth leather. F034 Black is intended for matching black leather with scratches, scuffs or light fading.

Leather Fresh is applied only to areas with colour loss. It is designed for small sections and typical wear zones such as seat bolsters or steering wheels, not for changing the colour of large leather surfaces.

Application

Check the colour on a hidden area. Clean and dry the leather, then degrease it with COLOURLOCK Degreaser.
Smooth rough areas gently with the COLOURLOCK Sanding Pad and remove the sanding dust.
Shake Leather Fresh thoroughly and apply thinly with a sponge using a dabbing or circular motion.
Dry each thin coat with a hair dryer at moderate heat. Apply further thin coats if required.
Allow at least 24 hours before gently conditioning or protecting the surface.

Suitable for and important notes

For matching black, semi-matt smooth leather and suitable imitation leather or plastic surfaces. Contents: 100 ml.

Important: Use only on clean, dry and grease-free surfaces. Judge the shade only after complete drying and take special care around contrasting stitching.

Preparation

Treat only small areas of colour wear and minor superficial damage on surface-coloured smooth leather. After a successful test, Leather Fresh can also be used on artificial leather and plastics. Cracks, holes or structural damage require a proper repair first.
Always test the colour and material compatibility on a hidden spot. Work especially carefully around contrasting seams and mask them if necessary.
Clean intact areas with a suitable Leather Cleaner, gently brush the grain and remove cleaner residue with a slightly damp cloth.
Degrease repair areas and especially skin-contact zones with COLOURLOCK Degreaser. Once dry, use an adhesive-tape test to check whether grease remains.
Smooth rough or raised areas with the Sanding Pad using low pressure. Remove sanding dust with a cloth lightly dampened with Degreaser and allow the area to dry fully.

Step-by-step application

Shake Leather Fresh vigorously so that pigments and binders are evenly mixed.
Place a small amount on a clean application sponge. Do not pour or spray the product directly onto the leather.
Apply very thinly from seam to seam using circular or dabbing motions. Do not try to obtain full coverage with one thick coat.
Dry each thin coat with a hairdryer. Keep sufficient distance, keep the dryer moving and do not overheat the leather.
Apply further thin coats until wear and colour differences are evenly blended.
Inspect edges, perforations and seams. Carefully blend any build-up immediately with the sponge.
Judge the final colour only after the surface is fully dry.
Allow the recoloured area to dry for one day before applying a conditioner or protective treatment.

Aftercare and maintenance

After one day, follow with a conditioner suitable for the leather.
A few days after applying Leather Care, additionally protect high-wear areas with Leather Shield if it is suitable for the surface.
Do not clean the area with aggressive products during the first few days.

Important information

Leather Fresh is intended for small-area refresh work, not for a complete professional recolouring of large surfaces.
Do not use on open-pored aniline leather, suede, nubuck or Alcantara.
Excess product or excessive heat can fill the grain or leave the surface looking unnatural.

gute Farbe, aber nicht tiefschwarz

Mit ist der Farbton bekannt, ist ziemlich genau der Farbton vom Volvo-Leder, das sich eher als sehr dunkles Grafit beschreiben lässt.
Trocknet schnell, lieber 3* ganz dünn als 1* dick auftragen (Schwamm tupfen), alte Youtjube-Videos von Colourlock VORHER ansehen!)
Seit Übernahme Colourlock durch Koch-Chemie werden die alten Preise und die eingewachsenen Produktbezeichnungen modernisiert und man spricht bei Koch nicht mehr die Handwerkersprache des früheren Besitzers. Alles denglisch, modern, neu ...
Wer einen Volvo mit Leder Charcoral hat (also fast alle noch lebenden alten), sollte sich ein Fläschlein sichern. Das ist offenbar Altbestand (geht ja nicht um).
Wer aber tiefschwarzes Leder hat, sollte die Finger davon lassen. Die Farbe wird bei Trocknung nicht tiefschwarz, sondern dunkel-anthrazit.
