COLOURLOCK Leather Fresh Neutral 1 L is the neutral base used to produce an individually matched Leather Fresh colour. It is intended for professional colour mixing and becomes a suitable colour refresher only after correct pigmentation.

The finished Leather Fresh mixture is used to blend scratches, scuffs and light fading on plain, semi-matt smooth leather. Neutral is therefore not a standalone leather colour.

Application

COLOURLOCK Leather Fresh Neutral 1 L - detailed application instructions

Preparation

Leather Fresh Neutral is a neutral base, not a ready-matched repair colour. Determine the required shade correctly before application.
Tint the neutral base individually with approximately 20 to 30 percent of a suitable COLOURLOCK leather colour as specified by the manufacturer. Record the mixture and blend it thoroughly.
Test the mixture and colour on a hidden spot. Assess the shade only when dry.
Clean and degrease surface-coloured smooth leather. Smooth rough areas with the Sanding Pad using low pressure and remove sanding dust.
Carefully mask contrasting seams, edges and adjacent materials.

Step-by-step application

Stir or shake the tinted mixture thoroughly until no uneven colour components remain visible.
Place a small amount on a clean sponge, never directly on the leather.
Treat small areas from seam to seam in thin dabbing or circular coats.
Dry each coat with a moving hairdryer at moderate temperature. Do not overheat the leather.
Apply further thin coats until colour differences are blended evenly.
A suitable brush may be used for fine damage. Larger professional areas are preferably treated with a suitable spray gun.
Assess the final colour and gloss only after complete drying.

Aftercare and maintenance

Allow the coloured area to dry for one day before applying a suitable conditioner or protective treatment.
Record the mixing ratio and colour used for future repairs.

Important information

Do not use Neutral unmixed as a guaranteed final colour.
For surface-coloured smooth leather only. Do not use on open-pored aniline leather, suede, nubuck or Alcantara.
Professional colour mixing and spray application require experience and suitable protective equipment.
