COLOURLOCK Elephant Leather Preserver 125 ml is a highly economical leather grease for matt to glossy smooth leather. It cares for and waterproofs heavily used surfaces and is particularly suitable for pull-up leather, neck leather and aged or hardened leather.

The formula consists of 100% synthetic grease. It is acid-free, odourless and contains no plant-based or animal fats, making it suitable for the careful preservation of valuable leather.

Application

Clean the leather, allow it to dry completely and test on a hidden area.
Apply a very small amount thinly with a clean, soft and lint-free cloth.
At low temperatures, gently warm the product and leather with a hair dryer to make application easier.
Remove excess with a clean cloth and allow the surface to rest.

Preparation

Use only on suitable matt to glossy smooth leather, pull-up leather, neck leather and aged or hardened smooth leather.
Remove dust and dirt with a cleaner suitable for the leather, then allow the surface to dry completely.
Test on a hidden spot to check whether the resulting gloss, feel and colour meet expectations.
Prepare a clean, soft and lint-free cloth. Only a very small amount of product is required.

Step-by-step application

Pick up a small amount of Elephant Leather Preserver with the cloth. Do not place thick portions of grease directly onto the surface.
Work it into the surface very thinly and evenly with light pressure. Do not fill seams, edges or recesses with grease.
At low room temperatures, gently warm both the preserver and the leather to hand temperature with a hairdryer. This makes a thin, even application easier.
Never heat one spot intensely. Keep the hairdryer moving and maintain sufficient distance from the surface.
After application, remove visible excess with a second clean, lint-free cloth.
Allow the surface to rest, then inspect it for greasy or uneven areas and buff those again with a clean cloth.

Aftercare and maintenance

Apply another coat only to very dry, absorbent leather and only after assessing the first treatment.
Always use the product sparingly for maintenance. Over-treated leather may feel greasy and attract more dirt.

Important information

Do not use on open-pored aniline leather, suede, Alcantara or textiles without a compatibility test.
The treatment can change gloss and colour depth, so a hidden test is essential.
