The COLOURLOCK Smooth Leather Care Set combines gentle cleaning with conditioning care for semi-matt, surface-coloured smooth leather. It is designed especially for vehicle leather from its third year of use.

Leather Cleaner Mild removes light everyday soiling. Leather Care refreshes the surface, supports a supple feel and provides UV protection against fading and brittleness.

Application

Test every product on a hidden area first.
Pour Leather Cleaner Mild into the Foamer Bottle, apply foam to the scrubber and clean from seam to seam.
Remove dirt and cleaner residue with a slightly damp viscose cloth and allow the leather to dry.
Apply Leather Care thinly and evenly with a clean viscose cloth and allow it to dry without polishing.

Suitable for and important notes

For semi-matt, surface-coloured smooth leather in vehicles and on suitable leather furniture. Do not use as a universal solution for suede or nubuck.

Important: Apply sparingly and avoid over-conditioning. Treat heavily used areas about every 3 months and normally used areas every 6 to 12 months.

COLOURLOCK Smooth Leather Care Set - detailed application instructions

Preparation

Confirm that the material is surface-coloured smooth leather. This process is not intended for open-pored aniline leather or suede.
Carefully vacuum loose debris and dust or remove it with a soft cloth.
Test the cleaner and conditioner in sequence on a hidden spot for colourfastness, feel and gloss.
Fill the foamer bottle with Leather Cleaner Mild. Prepare the cleaning sponge, brush and a slightly damp cloth.

Step-by-step application

Apply cleaning foam to the sponge or brush, never the cleaner directly to the leather.
Clean in sections from seam to seam. For dirt in the grain, use the brush carefully and without heavy pressure.
Immediately pick up loosened dirt and foam residue with a clean, slightly damp cloth.
Repeat the cleaning step if required. Allow the surface to dry completely between passes and before conditioning.
Shake the conditioner and place a few drops of Leather Care on a soft cloth.
Spread Leather Care very thinly and evenly from seam to seam. Do not apply it directly to the leather or polish it aggressively.
Allow the conditioner to dry. One coat is normally sufficient; apply another thin coat only to very dry, absorbent leather after the first has fully dried.

Aftercare and maintenance

Inspect heavily used leather about every three months and condition it if required.
For normal use, an interval of six to twelve months is typically sufficient.
Between maintenance treatments, remove spills and fresh contamination promptly with a material-appropriate method.

Important information

Use both cleaner and conditioner sparingly. Do not soak the leather.
Do not use on untested open-pored leather, suede or Alcantara.
Leather Care may be fatal if swallowed and enters the airways and may cause an allergic skin reaction. If swallowed, immediately call a poison centre or doctor and do not induce vomiting. Follow the labels for all components.
