The preparation and application process largely determines how even and durable the result will be. The Aston Martin leather must be cleaned thoroughly, completely degreased and repaired where necessary. Residues from body oils, silicone or leather care products can impair adhesion and cause stains.

Apply the leather dye sparingly and evenly in thin coats. Allow each coat to dry completely before applying the next one. Once the final coat has dried, a suitable leather sealant helps protect the treated surface against abrasion and renewed soiling.

Vor dem Glattleder färben muss die Oberfläche sauber und fettfrei sein. Im Innenraum sitzen oft Hautfette, Pflegemittelreste und Schmutz auf dem Leder - das kann beim Lederfärben zu Flecken oder ungleichmäßiger Deckung führen. Deshalb gehört eine gründliche Reinigung immer dazu. Zur Vorbereitung empfiehlt sich ein Leder-Vorbereiter bzw. Reiniger als Schritt vor dem Färben.

Temperatur einhalten

Die Umgebungstemperatur sollte 10°C nicht unterschreiten. Da die Lederfarbe sonst nicht trocknet.

Anwendung - Lederfärben von Naht zu Naht mit Schwamm

Auftrag, Kontrolle, Nacharbeit

Gib die Lederfarbe auf den mitgelieferten Schwamm und trage sie in kreisenden Bewegungen von Naht zu Naht auf. Bearbeite die gesamte Fläche und prüfe danach, wo noch Deckung fehlt. Diese Bereiche arbeitest du nach - aber erst, wenn der erste Auftrag wirklich trocken ist. Sonst wird die erste Schicht wieder angelöst und kann verwischen.

Trocknung, optional mit Fön, und zweiter Auftrag

Ohne Fön liegt die Trocknungszeit bei etwa 1-2 Stunden. Zum Beschleunigen kannst du einen Fön nutzen: niedrigste, wärmste Stufe und ca. 20 cm Abstand, bis die Oberfläche matt wirkt. Ein zweiter Auftrag kann die Wirkung erhöhen und die Farbanpassung weiter verbessern.

Nach dem Lederfärben versiegeln - Schutz für den Alltag

Nach vollständiger Trocknung kannst du versiegeln. Eine Versiegelung unterstützt die Alltagstauglichkeit, weil sie die neu eingefärbte Oberfläche besser vor Abrieb und neuer Verschmutzung schützt. So passt Leder färben sauber in deine Routine: reinigen und vorbereiten, färben, trocknen lassen und anschließend schützen.
