Their polishing face combines 50 percent merino wool with 50 percent synthetic high-performance fibre. This construction provides strong mechanical cutting action, particularly on heavily weathered, damaged or hard clear coats.

The hybrid design combines the powerful cut of natural wool with the more controlled polishing characteristics of synthetic fibre. It can leave a cleaner surface than a pure wool pad while maintaining the abrasive performance required for demanding correction work. However, the Thermo Hybrid Pad is primarily a cutting pad. Depending on paint hardness, compound and the required result, a separate refining stage may still be necessary.
