ABRALON is a unique specialty product for finishing sanding. ABRALON reduces traditional polishing procedures to a minimum, resulting in significant savings in work time and thus cost savings.

Typical areas of application include high-gloss paints, solid surface materials, and gel coats. The construction of ABRALON consists of the sanding net, foam center, and hook-and-loop backing. The abrasive grains are attached to the net. The openings in the sanding net allow water and air to move freely around the abrasive grains when the surface is sanded. ABRALON is excellent for rounded surfaces, corners, and sharp edges. During dry sanding, the sanding net moves continuously, preventing the buildup of sanding dust. Cleaning the surface is easily achieved with compressed air.

When ABRALON is used for wet sanding, the open cell structure pushes water into the foam center through the openings in the sanding net when compressed. When the foam expands again, the liquid is reabsorbed. The constant movement of water in and out keeps the product clean and thus extends its lifespan.
