After two years of intensive R&D, it was time to boost the Gyeon coating spectrum to a new level: presenting a technological rEVOlution in the chemical group of polysilazanes, Gyeon has succeeded both in almost doubling the durability and simplifying the application process: wipe off time has been drastically extended with the new EVO formulations.

What's more: all new EVO coatings no longer require a two-layer application but only one single layer, and what's more, they can even be applied outdoors in the fresh air; a garage is no longer a mandatory requirement. The only thing to ensure is a dry place for the following 12 hours and some shade for the application.

Q² Mohs EVO is Gyeon's traditional silica-based ceramic coating, the original formulation that made Gyeon famous worldwide. It combines all the advantages of modern silica technology with an extremely user-friendly application and usage behaviour: in the new formulation, the product remains easy to polish out within a full 5 minutes after application, making application an experience.

The Q² Mohs EVO is the only product that still leaves open the possibility to create thicker layers by layering (multi-layer build-up) and thus push the durability to a maximum. However, the Q² Mohs EVO already achieves full performance with one layer and produces resistance to chemicals with a pH value between 2 and 11 as well as quick and easy cleaning of your vehicle.

The better the surface is prepared, the better the result in terms of gloss, durability, and water beading effect.

Thorough pre-wash and decontamination with Q²M Foam, Q²M Tar, Q²M Iron, Q²M Clay
Polish all painted surfaces to a high gloss with Q²M Polish and possibly Q² Primer
Wash the vehicle with a strong degreasing detergent, e.g., dish soap and hot water
Remove all dirt, waxes, and oily polish residues with Q²M Prep (IPA alone is not enough)
Shake the bottle, apply a few drops of Q² Mohs EVO to the applicator
Apply in a crosshatch pattern until the layer is rich and even, working on smaller areas at a time
After 10-30 seconds, polish off excess with a fresh microfiber cloth Q²M BaldWipe to achieve an even finish
If necessary, apply another layer after at least 1 hour to increase thickness and durability. This is optional.
After 1 hour, apply Q²M Cure spray as a topping and wipe off with Q²M SoftWipe to protect against potential water spots
Avoid water during the drying time (24 hours), do not wash with car shampoo during the curing phase (14 days)
