Cars accumulate large amounts of tar, asphalt contaminants, resins, and other organic compounds such as insect remains during daily use. Q²M Tar provides a simple way to accelerate the otherwise time-consuming cleaning process using clay. This is especially useful for soft single-coat paints or medium-hard Japanese paints, as even a mild clay often causes light scratches.
Most contaminants can be easily dissolved and rinsed off in combination with Q²M Tar and Q²M Iron, without leaving any haze or scratches that would otherwise need to be polished out. Q²M Tar does not compromise the durability or water-repellent properties of an existing ceramic coating.
Unlike most other tar removers, Q²M Tar does not harm various body surface finishes. It can be used on paint, glass, or plastic trim, whether painted or unpainted. Its pH neutrality even allows it to be used to remove tar spots from bare polished metal.
Q²M Tar can also be used in conjunction with the chemically resistant Q²M Clay. It provides sufficient lubrication during clay bar treatment, which speeds up the entire preparation process for heavily contaminated vehicles during thorough paint care.
