SONAX Set for cost-effective manual restoration of age-induced yellowed and hazy plastic headlight covers.
In 2 simple steps, yellowing, haze, and fine scratches are removed before the treated surfaces are permanently sealed and protected against future fading. The application restores the original clarity of the headlights. In addition to the headlights' enhanced appearance and increased vehicle value, improved light output enhances driving safety by ensuring better visibility and visibility to others.
For 2 applications, each for 2 headlights.
- 1 piece of SONAX Headlight Polish 75 ml
- 2 pieces of SONAX Headlight Sealant 5 ml
- 2 pieces of SONAX Polishing Sponges
- 1 piece of SONAX Sanding Disc Holder
- 8 pieces of SONAX Sanding Discs P3000
- 8 pieces of SONAX Sanding Discs P5000
- 6 pieces of SONAX Polishing Cloths
1. Smoothing
- Before starting, wash the areas to be treated with SONAX Gloss Shampoo
- Then, tape off the edges near the hood, fenders, grille, and bumper
- Attach the slightly coarser P3000 sanding discs (with clear adhesive backing) to the included gray sanding disc holder, moisten with water, and sand the headlights with light pressure until a uniform, slightly matte surface is achieved
- Keep the surface moistened with water throughout
- Next, remove any sanding residues with one of the included polishing cloths
- Then repeat the process with the ultra-fine P5000 sanding discs (with red adhesive backing)
2. Polishing
- Apply SONAX Headlight Polish to the white side of the included polishing sponge and polish the headlight surface with medium pressure until the haziness is removed
- If needed, reapply polish as necessary
- To check and at the end of the polishing process, wipe off any polish residues with a polishing cloth
3. Sealing
- Open one packet of Headlight Sealant and pour the contents onto a polishing cloth
- Apply the liquid to the already smoothed and polished surfaces with the damp cloth, then after a brief airing, wipe with a clean, dry polishing cloth
- One packet is sufficient for 2 headlights
